Tom Cruise Is Brutally Reminded That He Failed Katie Holmes And Daughter Suri Cruise On Live TV

Tom Cruise is most likely saying with friends like these; he does not need enemies. Judd Apatow recently hosted the Directors Guild of America Awards, and he took the opportunity to roast Tom Cruise.

The filmmaker destroyed Tom Cruise as no one has ever done before. In the monologue, he mocked Cruise’s height, marital status, looks, and die-hard beliefs.

He also tackled his failed marriages with Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes and his incapacity to co-parent his three children, whom he shares with his ex-spouses.

The director opened his fiery monologue by attacking Cruise’s physical appearance. Apatow went straight for the jugular by reminding the audience that Cruise, the colossal movie legend and daredevil, is barely 5’7″.

Apatow eviscerated Cruise by saying: “The special effects in “Maverick” were so top-notch, I couldn’t even see the stack of phone books Tom Cruise sat on to reach the flight controls.”

The screenwriter dug up one of Cruise’s most embarrassing moments — his now infamous 2005 interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show where he spoke about falling in love with Katie Holmes and proceeded to jump up and down on a couch bizarrely.

He also laughed at Cruise’s decision to perform all his stunts no matter how dangerous they might be.

The producer stated: “Remember when Tom Cruise jumped up and down on the couch, and we all thought, ‘What a lunatic!'” And now he rides a motorcycle off a cliff and BASE jumps, and we’re all like, ‘Tom’s fine!’ Tom is not fine. Someone needs to explain to him something called CGI. You’re 60. Calm down.”

The Top Gun: Maverick star was also ridiculed for passionately defending and protecting the Church of Scientology in the midst of their long list of frightening scandals and theories.

Apatow stated: “But every time he does one of these new stunts, it does feel like an ad for Scientology. I mean, is that in Dianetics? Because there’s nothing about jumping off a cliff in the Torah.”

Apatow dared to publicly attack Cruise’s alleged decision not to play a part in daughter Suri Cruise‘s life since divorcing Katie Holmes.

Cruise’s non-conforming stance on medication was also brought up in the monologue.

He said: “The only thing he seems to be afraid of is co-parenting and antidepressants. I doubled my Prozac today just for this. I doubled it! Do you think if Tom Cruise took antidepressants, he’d be like, ‘I’m not jumping out of a f—ing cliff. I’m rich!'”

In an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show, Cruise explained that he was against psychiatric drugs because they are “dangerous,” and he would never take “mind-altering psychotropic drugs.”

People, who are close to Cruise, including Jerry Bruckheimer, are not thrilled with Apatow’s harsh words.
