It was not that long ago that Meghan Markle signed the contract of a lifetime. The former actress’ fame and notoriety and her link to the British royal family made it possible for her to ink a massive deal with the prestigious WME agency.
Many extraordinary promises were made to the public and her backers. Markle was set for world dominance with multiple fascinating projects, including a major return to Instagram.
It was also rumored that she and Amazon were set to collaborate on a new podcast. Sources claimed via Page Six and the Daily Mail that Markle had plans to surprise many with some of the unexpected business moves that she was set to make.
However, months have come and gone with nothing from the Duchess of Sussex. Over the weekend, the Daily Mail revealed that desperate times call for desperate measures.
It seems that the big deals have fallen apart or never were, so Prince Harry‘s wife is now mulling over some unoriginal and controversial paths to earn a paycheck.
Royal watcher Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that Meghan Markle’s and Prince Harry’s empire is desolate, and they need to act quickly to stop it from crumbling.
He said: “What’s important is that they launch a fightback – but we don’t yet know what that is going to look like. At the moment, it feels as though their empire is crumbling, but it hasn’t crumbled yet. The question is, “Why are they so quiet at the moment? What is going on?”
He added: “It really does seem they are brewing something up with their new team. I would not be surprised if we had an announcement from them very soon.”
According to the Daily Mail, Markle is gearing up to announce what is described as “Meghanaissance.”
The California-born royal is planning a return to acting, most likely via Netflix, and a bombshell memoir where she will share her story and reveal the royal secrets that Prince Harry left out of Spare.
Royal expert Tom Bower, author of Revenge, spoke to The Times about Markle’s big plans.
About the tell-all memoir, he claimed: “It will be Meghan’s truth. There will be a readership for it because she’ll undoubtedly settle some scores from her point of view. What she says she said to the Queen, to Kate, to Philip, all that will be in the book whether corroborated or not, and that’s a goldmine.”
Markle’s former TV series Suits has shattered all records since arriving at Netflix, and this is a strong argument for her to put on her acting hat.
The expert claimed: “I think she absolutely is going to return to acting. With the popularity of Suits on Netflix right now there have been rumblings on whether the show could actually come back.”
Markle will keep her name in the headlines no matter what.
