King Charles III responded promptly and brutally after receiving some highlights from Prince Harry‘s latest interview.
In the ITV documentary Tabloids On Trial, Prince Harry gave an interview explaining that he has no desire to bring his wife, Meghan Markle, to England.
The former soldier is fighting in court against the British government for the right to pay for security when he travels to his home country alone or with his family.
During the sit-down, Prince Harry was adamant that Markle would only step on British soil when they received the desired security.
He said: “There is more than enough attention on me and my wife (Meghan) anyway. They pushed me too far… It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read and whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
A close friend of King Charles III made a bold statement, suggesting that Prince Harry’s claims about Meghan Markle’s fear of London are not to be believed.
The longtime family friend told The Daily Beast that it is all but a ruse. His Majesty believes that Prince Harry is using the claim that Markle is afraid of the UK to deny him the opportunity to see and spend time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The media outlet revealed: “When Harry was being kicked out of Frogmore Cottage, one of his lines was that Charles would never see the kids again. This is him going public with that threat.” When it was pointed out to the source that Harry didn’t mention his children in the TV interview, they replied, “It was clearly implied. This really isn’t about Meghan, who has no intention of ever coming back to England again.”
Another source close to King Charles added: “I wonder, when they are older, how those kids will feel about being denied a meaningful relationship with the King of England. To deprive them of that experience, with all its importance and heritage, seems very misguided.”
The Duke of Sussex seems in no rush to change his stance on the matter. Some observers even say that his wife probably shares the same views on the controversial issue.
