After King Charles III revealed his cancer diagnosis, it seems that Prince Harry pulled all the stops to get to him for a father-son embrace.
Sources claimed Meghan Markle‘s husband is ready to be the son that King Charles needs in his life as he battles a serious illness, even if it is not to Prince William‘s liking.
Days after his visit with King Charles, Prince Harry confirmed in an interview with Good Morning America that he loves his family and plans to travel to London to spend time with his father and help in any way he can.
He added: “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”
When asked whether King Charles’s illness could have a “reunifying effect” on the Royal Family, Prince Harry confessed: “Absolutely. Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together.”
Sources close to the former soldier confirmed that he is ready to come back to the royal fold if King Charles makes that request.
An insider close to the Royal Family told Page Six that if King Charles summoned his youngest son, he would make a mad dash to England.
The person in the know shared: “I have a hard time believing if his dad asks for his help, Harry would say no; I think he would try.”
Many predicted that King Charles would reject Prince Harry’s offer out of fear that he would run to the media and share every new secret he learned about the family.
It was also claimed that Prince William would be filled wild with rage and would work overtime to block his brother from returning to London.
However, it seems that King Charles will overrule the heir and call The Duke of Sussex to serve as the family navigates several health woes.
Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles for seven years, told The Post: “The king has made it very clear that [Harry] is part of his family and always will be part of his family, but as far as the working part goes, that will be something that we will only see over time.”
He went on to explain why King Charles could make that phone call to Prince Harry by saying: “It is possible that given recent events, with the king not being 100% and he’s now relying on other members of the family, he could ask Harry to take on other duties. Remember, Prince Harry is still a senior member of the royal family— he’s not a working member of the royal family, but he is still very much a member of the family and Counselor of State, which means he’s able to step in when the king is unable to perform his duties.”
The former staff member added: “Technically, he can step in for the king. If he wasn’t still Counselor of State then that would be a very different matter.”
While it is Prince Harry’s dream to go back home and serve his father and country, it is Meghan Markle‘s worst nightmare.
The former actress repeated on several occasions that she was bruised and damaged by royal life — she confessed that the British experience pushed her to have suicidal thoughts.
