A little hero, Christian Moore, is being applauded for his kind gesture towards Connor Crites, an autistic student whom he saw crying near a classroom.

A picture of the adorable moment that took place at the Minneha Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas has been posted online and has since gone viral.

The powerful photo shows the eight-year-old boy holding Crites by the hands as he wipes away tears.

According to Courtney Moore, the little boy’s mother, the encounter occurred on August 14 — it was the boys’ first day in second grade.

The young Good Samaritan saw the little boy alone in a corner with tears in his eyes, and without a word, he decided to take action.

The proud mother, who shared the story on social media, explained: “I saw him on the ground with Connor as Connor was crying in the corner and he was consoling him.”

Courtney went on to reveal: “He grabs his hand and walks him to the front door. We waited until the bell rang and he walked him inside of the school. The rest is history. They have an inseparable bond.”

April Crites, the other mom, was quick to pen a sweet message to the young boy who helped her son.

In her message, April thanked the elementary schoolboy for being kind despite not knowing that his classmate is autistic.

April explained that the child’s gesture had moved her soul, and she is hoping more people will follow in his footsteps.

She stated: “I fear every day that someone is going to laugh at him because he doesn’t speak correctly, or laugh at him because he doesn’t sit still or because he jumps up and down and flaps his hands. It was a moment in time, caught…now capturing the hearts of strangers all over. But to the boys, it was so simple.”

The stay-at-home mom went on to share this beautiful message with the world: “It doesn’t matter the color, it doesn’t matter gender, it doesn’t matter the disability, and it doesn’t matter anything, be kind, open your heart… it’s what we need in this world. One act of kindness can change someone’s life, can change the world. That’s all it takes.”

Connor took part in the interview and said that his new friend made him cried tears of joy, and he hopes people will be friendly with one another.

The child confessed: “He was kind to me. I was in the 1st day of school, and I started crying then he helped me, and I was happy. He found me and held my hand, and I got happy tears.”

He concluded by adding: “Be nice!” This story has restored some faith in humanity.
