After a long and bitter feud with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, who is in a great space in her private life, has taken a significant decision to remain drama-free.
In late April, the billionaire media personality delighted her fans by finally launching her official TikTok account.
The socialite dropped her first video on the popular social media site where she is not dancing.
Instead, she is promoting her various brands. Kim Kardashian is featured in the short clip with her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic.
The video opened with the men responding to the following questions: “So, you’re an artist? Are you good at it?”
It then cuts to Kim Kardashian with perfect makeup, impeccably coiffed hair, and dressed in a black crocodile leather dress.
Kardashian moved around to flaunt her dolled-up face and gave her fans a virtual kiss before the video ended.
The video shared by the SKIMS CEO has amassed almost 4 million views, and the newly-launched account already has 3 million followers.
The model has another account on TikTok that she shares with her oldest daughter, North West.
The businesswoman and her firstborn have 6.6 million followers and 68.1 million Likes on the joint account.
Kardashian and North delighted their fans with funny dances, crazy makeup sessions, and fun pranks for several months.
However, Kardashian has been forced to stop posting on the account. The last time the mother/daughter duo uploaded a video was January 31st.
So, why did Kardashian drop/give up the TikTok fun with Northie? It might have to do with her nasty feud with billionaire rapper Kanye West.
Amid their complicated divorce, Kanye West took to Instagram. He launched a tirade against Kim Kardashian for being an irresponsible mother because she dared to appear in TikTok videos with North.
@kimkardashian Hey Guys ?
West expressed frustration and concern about his 8-year-old daughter’s social media presence in a series of now-deleted Instagram posts.
West said he was disgusted and added: “I told y’all before about this tik tok stuff. Now my eight-year-old on here singing she fell in love with an emo girl Leftist don’t want fathers to have no say in our children’s lives.”
The Yeezy designer went on to slam his ex-wife by saying: “Hey everybody, I just got off the phone with Kim. I told her to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing. I said never again. I am her father, and I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family [but] I said I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney. I have a say so.”
The spat between the famous exes sparked an intense debate on what age children should be allowed to use technology, with many parents siding West.
The former Keeping Up with the Kardashians star responded to her ex-husband by explaining that she wanted North to express herself.
Kardashian said at the time: “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media are actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness.”
It seems that the two co-parents have found an agreement on the issue.
