Prince William is making a lot of headlines without saying a word.
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a series of revelations about the heir to the throne, his wife, Kate Middleton, is now the one sharing about her spouse.
Recently, the future Queen Consort has been pushing the launch of her new initiative called Shaping Us — which is an early years campaign.
While promoting the launch, the Princess of Wales visited Leeds, where she stopped and chatted with multiple stallholders and royal supporters at Kirkgate Market.
At one point, during the stroll, Kate Middleton met a florist, and they spoke about his business, her childhood project, Valentine’s Day, and the gifts that her husband would give to her.
The florist, Neil Ashcroft, offered Middleton some hyacinths and asked her: “No doubt William will be buying you some red roses.”
Kate Middleton gave the following surprise and somewhat sad response: “I don’t think he will do.”
Talking to the media after the encounter with the princess, he lamented that he wished he could have persuaded Middleton to buy some flowers and added: “I offered her a discount. I said I would give her a card and knock off the VAT [tax]. I enjoyed his chat with Princess Kate, who acted very genuine.”
It seems that Prince William has changed his ways over the years regarding the types of gifts he offers his lady for Valentine’s Day.
Middleton revealed in a past interview that during her first year of marriage to Prince William, he showered her with flowers for Valentine’s Day.
He also wrote her a beautiful card that she will forever cherish. Kate Middleton shared that Prince William made the grand gesture because they could not spend the love holiday together because he was deployed as a helicopter pilot for the Royal Air Force.
Some royal fans reacted to the heartbreaking confession by saying that they were surprised that Middleton decided to throw her husband under the bus.
Others believe that Prince William is stressed out by the many salacious revelations made by Prince Harry in Spare and, therefore, might be a bit distant at the moment.
In the bestselling tell-all book, Prince Harry slammed his brother for physically and emotionally assaulting him.
He also painted a not-so-beautiful portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding day, writing: “The brother I’d escorted into Westminster Abbey that morning was gone — forever. Who could deny it? He’d never again be, first and foremost, Willy. We’d never again ride together across the Lesotho countryside with capes blowing behind us. We’d never again share a horsey-smelling cottage while learning to fly. Who shall separate us? Life, that’s who.”
Prince Harry added: “And I recall Willy walking her back up the aisle, and as they disappeared through the door, into the carriage that would convey them to Buckingham Palace, into the eternal partnership they’d pledged, I recall thinking: Goodbye.”
Prince William might have some work to do.
