King Charles III, as a loving father and grandfather, for a brief moment, believed that he could make progress with his self-exiled son.
This week, His Majesty surprised the world with an unexpected gesture, sharing a heartfelt birthday message on social media for Prince Harry‘s momentous 40th.
For a span of four years, The King and the Royal Family have refrained from any public gestures towards Prince Harry or Meghan Markle, a silence that speaks volumes.
The pair have worked tirelessly to humiliate and discredit the Royal Family and the British institution. The birthday message looked like hope and forgiveness wrapped in a bow.
However, it is impossible to teach a 40-year-old royal new tricks. Immediately after King Charles’s message was published, leaks about his private conversation with Prince Harry flooded social media.
There are reports of a telephone call between Prince Harry and his father on his special day. Katie Nicholl at Vanity Fair reported: “It was always The King’s intention to acknowledge his son’s 40th publicly, and I am sure that The King will have spoken to Harry on his birthday. After all, it is his son, and whatever has happened, Charles loves Harry unconditionally as any parent does, and Sunday was an important day.”
It was confirmed that Prince William did not call his brother. Kate Middleton opted not to contact her brother-in-law.
Other reports claimed Prince Harry planned to meet King Charles during his upcoming trip to London.
The Monarch is willing to admit that he had a temporary lapse of judgment, thinking Prince Harry could do better.
Realizing that all interactions between him and his youngest son will be made public, King Charles has let Prince Harry know it is the end of the road for him.
Prince Harry will be in the UK at the end of the month for a charity event without Meghan Markle, and King Charles has decided that he will not stay at a royal residence.
Instead, Prince Harry will be renting a hotel room. King Charles has declined to meet The Duke of Sussex because any conversation, remark, or detail about his battle with cancer will be rapidly making their way into the media.
The royal expert revealed: “They do speak on the phone. Charles wants to know what’s going on in Harry’s life and hear about the children, but he’s guarded because Harry has breached the trust between them on a number of occasions. Charles needs to know that their private conversations remain private. Private.”
The King seems incapable of changing his son’s old ways.
