For the past few months, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been on a roll when it comes to making shocking and negative comments and revelations about the royal family in a series of attention-grabbing interviews.
Many royal experts and aides have demanded that Queen Elizabeth II remove their titles, and it appears that she has made up her mind, and not all royal fans will be pleased with her decision.
The prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, first sat down with Oprah Winfrey, where they threw the monarchy under the bus with wild racism accusations.
The former actress spoke about dealing with fragile mental health and having suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant with her first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and not receiving the help that she needed from the royals.
Prince Harry doubled down with the damaging accusations during an appearance on Dax Shepard‘s podcast this past week.
The former soldier said being part of the royal family was like “the Truman Show” or being an animal in a zoo and being watched by the public.
Prince Harry also obliterated his father, Prince Charles, for dragging along what he deemed “generational trauma.”
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, slammed his father for passing on a “cycle of genetic pain and suffering” to him. He vowed to break the cycle for his children.
He did not spare Queen Elizabeth nor his late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, this time around.
According to Prince Harry, Prince Charles’s bad parenting skills reflected his own painful upbringing by his parents — Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Prince Harry’s decision to bash his grandparents was the straw that broke the camel’s back for many royal aides who made their anger known.
Aides, who find it unforgivable that Prince Harry bashed Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, spoke to the Daily Mail and explained that it is time the California residents are punished for their insensitive comments.
One royal aide told the publication: “People are appalled that he could do this to the Queen when the Duke of Edinburgh is barely in his grave. To drag his grandfather into this is so shocking and disrespectful. The Duke of Sussex has now spent a significant amount of time emphasizing that he’s no different to anyone else and attacking the institution, which he says has caused him so much pain. There is a growing feeling that if you dislike the institution that much, you shouldn’t have the titles.”
Another royal source explained: “They should put the titles into abeyance, so they still exist, but are not used, like they agreed to do with their HRHs. They should just become Harry and Meghan. And if they refuse to do that, they have to explain why not.”
Royal correspondent Rupert Bell explained that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s PR assaults would go unpunished because Queen Elizabeth will not remove their titles.
The royal expert shared: “The Queen gave them as a wedding present, and I think she would find that very hard to take that away from them, given the circumstances these titles were given.”
Meghan Markle and her spouse have already been forced to drop HRH from their names after “Megxit.”
Bell went on to say: “Remember there are three different titles that they have – not only the Duke (and Duchess) of Sussex. I see that as a position of last resort, and the Queen has to agree to it.”
Bell spoke about the royal staff member’s frustration by saying: “What I think it does reflect is the underlying, total frustration with Harry and Meghan, particularly with the podcast comments about the family. I think a lot of people within The Firm feel totally frustrated knowing they can’t say anything, yet Harry seems to be going on a continual rant against his family… it’s a PR assault on the people they (Harry and Meghan) are working for!”
Some observers say that Prince Harry is not done talking.
