Prince Charles took to his official social media accounts, where he released his New Year message to the British people and the rest of the world.
The statement looks like it came straight from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s playbook.
And it might not sit well with his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who would prefer the royal family to keep certain neutrality when it comes to political and social matters affecting society.
The heir to the British throne penned a political message to shed light on war-torn countries like Syria and Afghanistan, where ISIS fighters stamp upon human rights.
The bombings and destructions in these regions have led to a refugee crisis of epic portions — the Syrian civil war displaced over 900,000 Syrians in 2021.
In the past 12 months, more than half a million Afghans have been displaced by the ongoing conflict.
Prince Charles not only spoke about the political and religious persecutions, but he also praised the many organizations with members risking their lives to help those in need in the Middle East.
The prince said in his message: “As we start a New Year, we might take a moment to remember the many people around the world who are standing up for freedom and human rights.”
The Prince of Wales continued: “In places such as Afghanistan, Syria, and Myanmar, among others, the threats and reality of political and religious persecution and insecurity are coupled with an increasingly dire humanitarian situation.”
He concluded by: “In the face of such adversity, incredibly brave individuals, local communities, and international organizations are responding to great needs by providing vital assistance. I pray for peaceful resolutions to these conflicts and that we might all be blessed with the courage to support those in need, wherever they may be.”
Prince Charles, who only focused on climate change, seems to be defying the Queen with his wokeness behavior like his son and daughter-in-law.
Per Queen Elizabeth II’s request, Prince Harry and his wife were supposed to remain apolitical after they stepped back from their royal duties.
The powerful pair, of course, did not respect the Queen’s wishes and wandered into world political affairs and social issues.
Prince Harry and the former American actress loudly showed support for the Black Lives Matter movement and spoke out against racism and police brutality after the horrific killing of George Floyd.
Meghan Markle and the British prince also meddled in American politics during the 2020 elections.
And most recently, Meghan Markle lobbied Republican and Democratic politicians in hopes of getting a piece of legislation that focuses on paid leave across the finish line and onto President Joe Biden‘s desk.
Rumor has it that Meghan Markle is just getting started because she is eying the highest office in the land — the presidency.
