After Carmelo Anthony was recently spotted yachting together with an unknown woman, many people immediately started speculating about her identity and the possibility that he might have been cheating on his wife, La La Anthony, and there were some active discussions online on the topic.
However, nobody seemed to know exactly who the woman was and where she had come from.
Recent reports have pointed out that her name might be Sara Smiri, a Morrocan-Swedish model. After the controversy erupted, the model decided to put some of social media profiles on private mode.
However, this has been debated by sources who have requested to remain anonymous, claiming that they were close to the woman.
According to the new information, her last name is not Smiri, because she had been married.
It is not clear what this implies for her and Carmelo, however. It was not confirmed whether the woman’s marriage was in the past, or if she was currently involved with another man.
Many suspected that her relationship with Carmelo might be more than simple friendship, judging by the circumstances in which they were spotted together.
However, the NBA star himself has denied the rumors so far and has chosen not to remain relatively quiet on the situation.
He stated in chit-chat with TMZ: “I’m really only addressing this for my family,” he said in the clip. “Keep my family out this, man. Y’all trying to expose somebody’s wife. Y’all exposing somebody’s kids. Leave that alone, man. That ain’t cool. ”
This has prompted further suspicion by some, as it looks like a group of Carmelo’s fans is now convinced that there is something suspicious going on behind the scenes and the star is not being completely open about his situation.
However, in the end, someone in his position has no obligation for that in the first place.
It is not rare in fact to see people of high ranks trying to maintain some privacy around their lives, and it is a healthy approach overall.
The online comments have been harsh when it comes to the former New York Knicks star.
One person stated: “Explain why a man can be laid up with another man’s wife but can’t spend time with his daughter.”
Another follower: “You seriously trying to play Lala? You played yourself. U don’t deserve her.”
One thing is sure, the Power actress is not happy about the situation.
An insider told Us Weekly: “Things between La La and Carmelo are strained. It has been difficult for La La to move past the infidelities, the child out of wedlock … Those actions rocked La La to her core.”
