It seems that some of Prince Harry‘s words are coming back to bite him because of a striking yet loveable photo.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, they established themselves in California in a lavish mansion.
With the hefty cost of their security, a massive mortgage, and a luxury lifestyle, Prince Harry and Markle signed a series of contracts to make millions.
To promote their endeavors, Markle and her husband took part in multiple explosive interviews where they did not hesitate to air their grievances — and by doing so, they aired the British Monarchy’s dirty laundry.
During the sit-downs, Prince Harry had a few not-so-kind words for his father, Prince Charles, and older brother Prince William.
While chatting with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry said he wanted to start a new life in California and not remain trapped in the Monarchy walls like the heirs to the throne.
He said: “…my father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”
During an appearance on Dax Shepherd‘s podcast, Prince Harry spoke more about the pain and suffering he endured while growing up and compared it to being “a mixture between The Truman Show and being in a zoo.”
In an opinion piece written by royal expert Daniela Elser, she explained that Prince Harry is wrong regarding his claims about the Monarchy and his family being trapped.
Using the newly-released photo of Prince George on his 9th birthday, where he looks like a happy and normal child, the royal commentator explained the following.
Via News.com.au, the author revealed that the miserable royal life for young children that he spoke about is long gone — Prince William and Kate Middleton made sure of that.
She also revealed that Prince Harry and Prince William had tough childhoods, not because of the institution but because of their parents, who were constantly feuding and had a nasty divorce.
She said: “Looking at the image of George, the most striking thing about this new photo is the sheer, unadulterated, and natural joy on the boy’s face. (Harry’s) experiences do not mean that those left behind, ensconced in the Palace life, now face the same fate.”
Elser went on to share: “What Harry has not ever distinguished between is how much of his unhappy younger years can be blamed on the institution and how much was actually down to the two messed up individuals who raised him?”
She went on to highlight the efforts that Prince William and his wife are making for their three children to be happy and to thrive as people instead of royals.
She stated: “What this week’s new George photo really underscores is that the image of royalty that Harry has been telling the world about, one characterized by a horrible sort of repression and quashing of feeling, is long gone….looks very like the duke and duchess are raising their children as people first, and members of the royal family second.”
She concluded by saying that it is a fact that Prince Harry’s childhood was hellish for many reasons, but things have changed.
She wrote: “Let me reiterate, I’m not discounting Harry’s experience – the poor man has truly had decades of pain. However, the royal family, as a mercenary institution hell-bent on survival no matter the tender souls it crushes along the way, just does not ring true anymore.”
Prince Harry has been given the green light by his lawyers for his tell-all book that will be released around Thanksgiving.
Meghan Markle’s husband has announced that he will tell his truth about his days as a young child in the Palace — and the world knows that many of those days were dark and gloomy.
